Eligibility

You must be under age 65.

You must be self-employed and work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

You must provide tax documents* showing that you have worked as a freelancer for at least 60 days and have a minimum annual income (gross) of $14,000.

*1099 or a W-2 accompanied by a letter from the contracting firm attesting that you are an independent contractor and not eligible for benefits.

Atlantis Health Plan is a physician-owned company with Point of Service Plans and Open-Access HMOs, and includes access to a number of Members Only outpatient health centers (Atlantis Medical Group) providing care with no copays.

TEIGIT offers two HMOs and two POS plans with optional prescription riders. Coverage is available in the five boroughs of New York City.
